It's been a few months now that I've been heading the Alpha course at our church. I am finding everything that we hoped for - our people becoming stronger Christians with a deeper understanding of what they believe in and why. God is working in me, stirring up a real passion for discipleship and evangelism. They have always been the two scariest areas for me. But Alpha makes it easier for me.

It's definitely a time commitment, but one that I gladly make. I invested about $400 in the materials to get started and spend a minimal amount of time preparing. So little, in fact, that I have the time to start putting together our next discipleship program called "The Next Level".

We have 4 weeks left in the first Alpha, and I consider to have been a success. I'm looking to pass the facilitation of Alpha to someone in our church so that I can run TNL. God is moving, and building better Christians in our little church in Castle Heights.
