LEADERS OF THE REVIVAL
By Pastor Jose Gomez, Jr.

What a time to live!

The Tampa Bay area is just buzzing with excitement and energy as God prepares to pour out His blessings on our community in one of His most impressive methods of delivery - revival.

We can all feel it around us. There is the overwhelming sense of urgency, a sudden cry for unity, and a growing group of outreach ministries throughout the region. But, in the middle of it all, what is God truly looking for in His people? What should our reaction look like? How should we be preparing?

In the past year, I have had the honor of working with servants of Christ that have a strong passion to see God's glory decend on Tampa Bay. Their hearts are soft, willing to be changed. They are seeking God's very voice in everything that they do to prepare. But, what is God saying?

Others scramble around, ambitiously gathering teams of ministers to act upon this prophetic cloud of blessings. There have been meetings about unity, meetings about prayer, meetings about meetings...but, how is it that God is preparing His people?

It seems many times as if these various organizations are racing to gather up bigger and better troups in order to be THE ONES to bring revival to Tampa Bay. It is as if many feel that God will use them to "disperse" the rations of anointing that result from this outpouring. But, is the weight of God's vision so light? Or, is it so heavy that it would crush a single ministry attempting to bear the load alone?

I am so eager for a mighty move of God that I can almost hear Him coming. Yet, I can see brothers and sisters so busy racing to become Leaders of the Revival, that they do not realize the trail of casualties that are left behind them. Under such circumstances, we fight against the Father's very intentions, and delay His hand. It's hard to know what is in their heads or understand what they are truly searching for.

There are few, however, who share God's agenda. Our goal is not marketing opportunities or an increase in attendance. We are not looking for recognition or gain. There are some of us in every congregation pleading with our pastors to lower their guard and work with other ministries. In other places, we are the actual pastors.

Those of us issue the call to our friends, brothers, and sisters in the Lord to drop their guard and faithfully pursue a true united effort; One where we can serve each other instead of fighting for the pilot's seat.

Our ministry is at your disposal, ready to serve you in season and out of season.

Just say the word.
